The Mercy Cancer Center uses the money from Pieathlon to purchase wigs, head coverings, gas cards, food tickets, cab vouchers, and sometimes other items for direct patient gifting. Many times people don’t have the funds to make their cancer experience seem less stressful, so this is an example of some of the wonderful ways in which cancer patients and their families are supported by your generosity.
